For lash artists who lose that slot entirely when someone flakes last minute, deposits are one of the most effective policies you can put in place. It is not about protecting your time and your income.
Most lash artists charge 20-50% of the service price. Full set deposits tend to be higher than fill deposits because the time and prep investment is greater. The right amount is high enough to deter casual flakers but not so high it creates unnecessary friction at booking. SuiteCal lets Premium users set a custom percentage per service so each appointment type has its own deposit rule.
